Professional gives you 20 SOP runs per month, all three AI modes, PDF export, company logo branding, and the ability to load and re-edit previous projects for $15 per month.
Business is designed for teams or individuals who need more than 20 SOPs per month and want us to handle all the API key management. At $49 per month it includes 100 SOP runs, managed OpenAI API keys, priority email support, and overage run purchasing. If you find yourself hitting your Professional cap regularly, Business is the natural next step.
On Business and Enterprise plans we handle the AI service connection on your behalf. You do not need to create an OpenAI account, add billing, or manage any API keys yourself. Just subscribe, enter your license key in the app, and start creating SOPs. We handle everything behind the scenes.
Yes. Choosing annual billing saves approximately 30% compared to monthly. Professional annual is $99 per year — equivalent to $8.25 per month. Business annual is $399 per year and Enterprise annual is $1,199 per year.
Yes at any time. Log into your account at finwiseinsight.com, go to My Account, and select Change Plan. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Never. Your video files stay on your computer at all times. Rial Scribe processes your video locally — extracting audio and capturing screenshots entirely on your machine. Your workflow recordings, screen content, and video files are never transmitted to any server including ours.
Only the audio transcript text is sent to the AI service you choose. This is the text version of your narration — not the video, not the screenshots, and not any screen content. The transcript is sent directly from your machine to the AI provider (Google, OpenAI, or Anthropic) under their respective privacy policies. FinwiseInsight.com never receives or stores your transcript data.
No. FinwiseInsight.com does not collect, store, or have access to your videos, transcripts, screenshots, or generated SOP documents. Your project files are saved locally on your computer and belong entirely to you. The only information we hold is your account and billing details for subscription management.
Yes. On self-managed plans your API keys are stored using your operating system’s secure keyring — the same encrypted storage used by your browser and password manager. They are never saved in plain text. On managed plans (Business and Enterprise) API keys are stored on our secure license server and are never transmitted to or stored on your machine.
Yes — with one important note. Because your video never leaves your machine, confidential screen content is never exposed. However the audio transcript of your narration is sent to your chosen AI provider. We recommend avoiding narrating sensitive information such as passwords, account numbers, or personal employee data during recordings. Everything visible on screen stays on your machine.
All your SOP files, Word documents, screenshots, and project folders are saved locally on your computer and remain yours permanently. Cancelling your subscription has no effect on files you have already created. FinwiseInsight.com deletes your billing information from our systems within 30 days of cancellation in accordance with our privacy policy.
Partially. The Basic plan with Gemini and the Professional plan with Claude Premium Mode require an internet connection for the SOP generation step. However on Premium Mode the transcription step runs entirely offline on your local machine. The video processing, audio extraction, and screenshot capture steps all run locally with no internet required. An internet connection is only needed when the AI service is called to generate the SOP text.
Yes. The Rial Scribe installer is built with PyInstaller and packaged with Inno Setup — both industry standard tools used by thousands of commercial Windows applications. The installer does not modify system files, does not require administrator privileges by default, and includes a full EULA. It passes standard antivirus scanning. Record yourself performing the workflow you want to document while narrating each step out loud. Talk through what you are doing as you do it — “Now I am clicking the Settings button, then I will select Save.” Clear narration produces the best results. Videos between 2 and 30 minutes work best.
You provide a list of action keywords such as click, open, select, save, and submit. Rial Scribe detects when those words appear in your narration and captures a screenshot at that exact moment. Yes. After the AI generates the SOP draft you review it in the built-in editor. You can edit the text, reorder content, insert or remove screenshots, adjust captions, and crop images. Nothing is exported until you are satisfied with the result.
The primary output is a Microsoft Word document (DOCX) with a dynamic Table of Contents, formatted headings, and embedded screenshots. Professional plan and above can also export to PDF. Both formats include your company logo if you have uploaded one in Settings.
No. Your video never leaves your computer. Rial Scribe processes the video locally and only sends the extracted audio transcript to the AI service for SOP generation. Your workflow recordings remain private on your machine at all times.
Basic Mode uses Google Gemini for both transcription and SOP writing. It is included in the free Basic plan and requires a free Gemini API key. It produces good quality SOPs and is a great starting point. Screenshot timing uses approximate timestamps so placement may vary slightly from the exact moment of each action.
Advanced Mode uses OpenAI Whisper for transcription and GPT for SOP writing. It delivers word-level timestamp precision which means screenshots are captured at the exact moment each action keyword is spoken. This is the mode used on all managed plans (Professional, Business, and Enterprise). It produces highly accurate screenshots and professional quality SOP documents.
Premium Mode is available on the self-managed Professional plan for users who have their own Claude API key. It uses a local Whisper model on your computer for transcription — meaning no transcription API cost — and Claude (Anthropic) for SOP writing, which produces the highest quality professional prose. Processing takes longer since transcription runs locally but the output quality is exceptional. Typical cost is approximately $0.08 per SOP compared to $0.27 for Advanced Mode.
Advanced Mode and Premium Mode both use word-level timestamps and produce equally precise screenshot placement. Basic Mode uses approximate timestamps and may capture screenshots a few seconds before or after the exact action. For the most accurate screenshots choose Advanced or Premium Mode.
Basic Mode (Gemini) is free within Google’s usage limits. Advanced Mode (OpenAI) costs approximately $0.27 per 30-minute video. Premium Mode (Claude with local Whisper) costs approximately $0.08 per 30-minute video — about 70% less than Advanced Mode. On managed plans (Business and Enterprise) we cover all API costs within your monthly SOP cap.
One SOP run is one complete pipeline from start to finish — video processing, transcription, screenshot capture, and SOP generation. Each video you process counts as one run against your monthly cap regardless of the length of the video or the number of screenshots.
You will receive an email notification when you reach 80% of your monthly cap so you are never caught by surprise. When you reach 100% you have two options — wait for your billing cycle to reset at the start of next month at no additional charge, or purchase additional SOP runs immediately at the overage rate for your plan.
Professional plan overage is $1.00 per additional SOP run. Business plan overage is $0.75 per additional SOP run. Enterprise plan overage is $0.60 per additional SOP run. Basic plan does not offer overage — you simply wait for the next month’s allowance.
No. SOP runs reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused runs do not carry over. This keeps billing predictable and simple for everyone.
As many as you need. Rial Scribe plans are capped by SOP runs not by number of users. One license key can be used by your entire team and the cap applies to the total number of SOPs created across all users on that account.
Rial Scribe currently runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). A Mac version is not currently available but is on our development roadmap for a future release.
No. The Rial Scribe installer includes everything needed including ffmpeg for video processing. On the Basic and self-managed Professional plan you need an API key from your chosen AI provider but no additional software installation is required.
Rial Scribe works with MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, and most common video formats. MP4 is recommended for the most reliable results. Screen recordings from any tool including Windows built-in screen recorder, OBS, Camtasia, and Loom all work well.
All paid plans include email support via the support form at finwiseinsight.com. Business and Enterprise plans receive priority responses — typically same business day. Basic plan users can consult the built-in help guide accessible from the Help menu inside the app.
Rial Scribe does not auto-update. When a new version is released you will receive an email notification with download instructions. Your subscription includes all updates released during your active subscription period. Simply download and install the new version — your settings and projects are preserved.
